[First performance – Rakugo “The First Tenjin”]
The first performance of the second day of THE Kodomoyose New Year special performance was by Shotaro Shunpuutei. He explained the points of Rakugo storytelling, but after that the children couldn’t contain their laughter. The program was “The First Tenjin. The children’s eyes glittered as they watched Shotaro‘s performance which was most impressive.

[Iromono – Juggling]
It’s so funny when the phrase “Do you doubt me?”is repeated after demonstrating a remarkable technique. At that moment you’d think that the children would make comments, laugh, make a racket and bustle, but when they saw his advanced techniques, a huge round of applause was echoed around the hall. In the end, when Straight Matsuura shouted “Can I sell the tub?” , the audience immediately replied with “OK” . It was an exciting performance wrapped in a sense of unity.

[Second performance – The Zoo, Chouzu Mawashi]
The closing performance was the performance by Heiji Shōfukutei. Even just his talk given in Kansai dialect was enough to make the audience burst out laughing. A lot of episodes that happen in the Kansai region are unthinkable in this region, so the parents were crying with laughter. The program in the morning was “The Zoo” and in the afternoon “Chouzu Mawashi”. Both performances created uncontainable laughter.
