[First performance – Rakugo “Sagitori”]
Despite not really being a morning person, when he got on the stage he used that vivacious voice as a weapon to deliver a lively and exciting Rakugo, to which the children gave the best reactions. It seems as though he had thoroughly grasped the children’s hearts as there were many comments written in children’s handwriting in the questionnaire saying “It was so funny that tears came out.”

[Iromono – Edokyokugoma]
Isn’t it awful to ask “Who was the funniest?”. The person who came out on top in the questionnaire was this person. There was something about the excitement and sense of unity when this person talks and shows off his techniques. His level is just astounding. This was reflected in the expressions of the children watching his performance with bated breath.

[Second performance – Rakugo “The First Tenjin”, “Kinmeichiku”]
The best parts of a classic Rakugo were performed specially for the mothers in the hall – it was Mother’s Day in the story 「Kinmeitake」and there were comments in the questionnaire which said “It was a little difficult for the children, but I was very happy with the performance.” It was really kind of Master Kikuzo to perform a show for both the children and the parents in such a short time. It was a very rich Rakugo show.
